But the conflict finally ended May 2009, ushering in a more peaceful era for this teardrop-shaped island off India's coast, rich in natural beauty and cultural splendors.   The island, with a population of just 20 million, feels like one big tropical zoo: elephants roam freely, water buffaloes idle in paddy fields and monkeys swing from trees. And then there’s the pristine coastline. The miles of sugary white sand flanked by bamboo groves that were off-limits to most visitors until recently.     Among the most scenic is Hikkaduwa Beach in the South. vacationers can lounge on beach, hammocks under palm trees or snorkel in its crystal-clear waters. Or they can order cocktails at one of Hikkaduwa's Beach resturant   From Colombo airport to Hikkaduwa, it is about 120 km, so approximately 3-4 hours by car. and 2 hours by train from Colombo City to Hikkaduwa.   An international airport in Matara, on the island’s southern shore, is under construction, which will make the gorgeous beaches near the seaside village of Galle easier to get to. the surrounding coastline is now teeming with stylish guesthouses and boutique hotels.   Ceylon Investment

The House:

Our Holiday house in Sri Lanka is located aproximatly 3 kilometers from Hikkaduwa and 80 meters from the Galle Road. The Holiday house fits for 4 + 2 people and offers you a private access to the beach.

The house is located on a headland, and has a 3 side directly access to the ocean. All in one! A great and comfortable house and perfect for 4 - 6 guests. You can easily reach Hikkaduwa by a Singhalese cap which they call tuk, tuk. It’s about a 5 minute ride by tuk, tuk to Hikkaduwa.

In Hikkaduwa itself you are aible to go and visit a diving school, grocery shopping or go out for Dinning or have a drink in the Bar. Also ATM or Phone calls are available.

The House is perfect reconstructed in 2005. It includes 2 Queensize bedrooms, a large living room with a couch, sofa and a dinig table, separate kitchen and a bathroom with a hot water. Also there is a private coconut Palm garden with two sun beds for you available.

Flights and the journey to the house are on your own.

But we would be pleased to help you out with a transport by car from the airport of Colombo to the house. The cap drivers a l friends of us and will offer us a good price. Also on the way from the airport to the house, you’ll get already a little touch of the Singhalese living people and it’s a lot more comfortable for you after the long flight.

Of Course the House is completely stored  with furniture and with everything what you need to make it comfortable for you.

The price from 01.04.2010 to 30.09.2010 is 150,- €uro/ each week.

and from 01.10.2010 to 31.03.2011 is 170.- €uro/each Week.
